Egmont Key Boat Trip

The trip to Egmont Key has been postponed until February 3, 2022, leaving our docks at 11:00 AM.

President, Rick Plite will post the RED flag on the finger dock and contest board signaling a NO GO for January 27.

FRANK & BEAN TICKET REFUNDS

The Frank & Bean Dinner has been cancelled we want to refund anyone who purchased a ticket.

Come to the boating and fishing club meeting scheduled for February 1 between 10:00 and 11:00 bring us your tickets and you will receive your refund. You may also receive a refund from a Club representative at Coffee Hour.

Our apologies for any inconvenience that this causes anyone, but the club had a motion to cancel the dinner and was supported by the membership due to increasing concerns about Covid and illness within both parks.  Thank you for your cooperation and maybe 2023 will see things back to normal.

Our future meetings will be held outside in the carport area behind PB Office. Fishing Contests will continue to be held and awards will be presented during the meetings.  Dues must be current to post and receive fishing contest awards.

Officer elections will be held in March. The VP Chris Matteson and Treasurer Kevin Sullivan have agreed to serve next season. Openings for the positions of President and Secretary are scheduled to be held at the March meeting.

All future luncheons are cancelled.

The hope to have new Club shirts are dwindling, maybe next season?

Thank you to all the loyal members and volunteers who have supported the Paradise Bay & Sarasota Bay Boating & Fishing Club.

FRANK & BEAN TICKET REFUNDS

The Paradise Bay - Sarasota Bay Boating and Fishing Club regretfully is cancelling the Frank and Bean Dinner that was scheduled for January 29th.  If you already purchased your tickets, please attend your park coffee hour, and bring your tickets with you, and a representative from the boat and fishing club will be there to refund your money.  Or you can stop at any of the officers’ homes and bring your tickets and they will refund you.  Or you can come to the boating and fishing club meeting scheduled for February 1 between 10:00 and 11:00 am and again bring us your tickets and you will receive your refund.   Our apologies for any inconvenience that this causes anyone, but the club had a motion to cancel the dinner and was supported by the membership due to increasing concerns about Covid and illness within both parks.   Thank you for your cooperation and maybe 2023 will see things back to normal.

April 3, 2012 Increase donation to PB by $100 for 2011-2012 year and for 2013-14 and subsequent years donation be $200.  Donate $150 to Sara Bay for 2011-12 and subsequent years.  Passed

Pay dues for Jerry Kozminski, Dockmaster and Dockmaster assistant 2012-13 Passed

November 8, 2013. Host a one-day fishing tournament for women.  Women must be members of the club.Passed

March 5, 2013 Award a hat or t-shirt to contest winners instead of money.Passed

December 3, 2013. Continue Women’s Day fishing contests. Passed

January 7, 2014. Donate $150 to SB, $250 to PB Activity clubs.Passed

February 4, 2014. Pay $300 for stocking the retention pond if the PB approves fishing at the pond. Passed

April 1, 2014 PB Board voted down pond project.

December 2, 2014. Remove snapper off contest list. Passed

January 6, 2015 Add Black Drum to fishing contest.  Fishing rules for contests follow FWC Regulations. Passed

February 3, 2015 Donate $400 to PB, $200 to SB.Passed

March 3, 2015 Club pay costs for CPR members taking course.  Donate $200 for new speakers for PB Hall.Passed

April 7, 2015 Fish fry for members of the club.    Split 50/50 by four winners

November 6, 2018 $600.00 additional in escrow for channel markers.  Passed

December 4, 2018 Add permit and bluefish to contest list until Redfish and Snook are legal fish to keep by FWC.  Passed

December 4, 2018 Club pays for coffee and donuts for members volunteering during PB coffee hour on January 7, 2019.  Passed

January 8, 2019 Present Carl Shaver a new boat club T Shirt.  Passed

April 2, 2019 Club to buy materials for heavy duty extension cords to be custom fabricated for fish fryers.  Passed.

November 5, 2019. Purchase a double fish fryer.  Passed.

December 3, 2019 Club pays CPR/AED Class Fees.  Passed.

January 28, 2020 Donate $500.00 to PB, $300.00 to SB Activity Clubs.  Passed.

January 5, 2021 Club buy one Artificial Reef for $365.00. Passed.   Rick Plite serve as President, Passed.

 

April 5, 2021 Place signs saying NO POWER LOADING at boat ramps.  Passed
