Co-Presidents’ Report:
Carl K. Bayfest was great, ran well and participation was well attended. We did run out of food, but that seems to be the way expected. No “Monday hot dog event this upcoming March 17th, as I believe we are “hot dogged out lately!” Also, it is St. Patrick’s Day, and the focus on menu choice is different for most people on that day.
Jim G. – made an “Executive decision regarding the Music by the Bay events;” Regarding the food prepared and brought by guests, a new system is going to be utilized. Due to numerous people showing up and not bringing a dish to pass, and numerous times there is a shortage or over indulging by some. This has affected those that volunteered to bring food to share. So, when you bring a dish to share, you will be given a “ticket.” When it is time to eat, those with a ticket will line up first to get their meals. Also, it would be appreciated if everyone understood, that taking reasonable size portions, allows enough food to be shared with everyone “all the way to the last person in line!” An email blast will be sent out by Jim to this effect.
Golf league is blazing along, but it is affected by the lesser number of people in the park this year. They have gone from 6 “foursomes” to 2-3 “foursomes.” Golf is good, but hopefully it grows…
Secretary’s Report: Debbie F. Minutes posted to Activities Board and Committee Club Members. Correction of Treasurer’s Report Luncheon Monies of $7.00 reported should read $70.00 as of the date of the minutes, and again that has been updated this week. Are there any additions or corrections, if not the Minutes will stand as posted.
The minutes will stand as correct and as posted; a motion was made, and accepted by Kathy Mullen and Donna Matteson and the “ayes” accepted.
Treasurer’s report: Karen R. Reports the treasurer’s report; Income from Bayfest festival $1627.34, Miscellaneous expenses (listed in Treasurer’s report) $738.00. Total Profit: $889.05 There is pledged monies for Paradise Bay Sound Equipment for Paradise Bay Hall of $1018.68. Total Balance as of this report in the account is $8270.22. Karen asked whether there were any questions and if not report stands posted and accepted.
*An inquiry was made to a breakdown of the Bayfest festival monies, that is to be handled at the Bayfest Recap Meeting.
Vice President report: Lee S. End of season time…scheduling would be appreciated and summarized by June 1, 2025 from each club or organization for the next year, to Lee. Your preference of dates and times for your weekly activity; Shuffleboard and Bocce Board needs to be on the official calendar, for insurance purposes. Email information to Lee Stevens.
Kathy Mullen regarding next year’s Craft Show, Park Street Sales, Hot Dog Sales not overlap on the Bridge church craft sale and Bayfest etc. in the park. Kathy would like a date where they are not competing and many women will not have to choose between ours and other commitments, rather than be here for the Friendship Clubs Craft Sale etc.
Bayfest is the 1st Saturday of March, Bridge Church had their Craft show on the 2nd Saturday of the month; so, between Lee’s scheduling and Kathy’s contacting the church and checking with SB’s Craft Show, a plan is being worked on that the event participation will be better attended in 2026. Tentatively looking at the date 3/14/2026.

Old Business:
Rule Changes – (Karen R. ) Amended rules need to be presented at an official Activities Meeting, which is why there were copies made available on line and at the meeting 3/10/2025. New rule, amended rule – two years past the Rule we are discussing had been changed. A Vice President Assistant had been added, Shana Siminson was VP, and Lee Stephens was added as VP Assisted to handle the calendar. We presently want to go back to the original setup. No VP Assistant, and VP will handle the calendar. This being said, at the follow-up meeting is needed to be voted on to officially make changes to this rule.
Chris Matteson – mentioned that in other clubs in the past that he belonged to had a “Parliamentarian” (a person that officially knows the rules) As it stands, it looks like Karen R. is our Parliamentarian.

Chris M. introduced Al Jauquet as the nominee’s candidate of choice for Treasurer. Introduction and basic details were shared with Al J. and he also introduced himself and seems to have considered a “Yes” on the position. Karen R. will assist Al J., which also he won’t have to start in until the 1st November, 2025.
Al Jauquet and his wife are from Green bay Wisconsin, they are located at #37 on 5th. Al’s wife is part of the Ukulele group and sang (created) the song lately we heard; “16 Inches. “
