Minutes are posted…and emailed to all club representatives.......usually.
- Open House for new residents: January 12, 2025 – I got a headcount of 37 new residents; from Trudy, so we will have an idea of how many Informational packets I need to prepare regarding our Paradise Bay Activities, contacts, details and schedule.
- An email went out to all club representatives last week; asking them to update any information they want me to put in the Informational packet that we use every year and include (Contact, phone #, schedule, place etc.) Thank you to those that responded, if I had not heard from you, I hope you like the write up in the Welcome Packet. We have been receiving information regarding the Helm house and groups not comfortable meeting here. Any update on work for this building?
- Name Tag- I’ve had discussions with Sue Cassidy, the usefulness of these nametags at some of our events, especially the Bayfest?
- I have an additional “event sheet” added to the packets this year, a handy list of all the upcoming events I could think of.
- Carl K. gave me a basic list of what was discussed at the last meeting, 12/23/24. Unfortunately, they were unable to record the minutes for me. Here’s a summary of discussions.

Old Business
An account of the extra chairs and tables in the park} laundry buildings? Park office area? Sara Bay building? (usable?) How many chairs do we still need for meetings at the Helm House? *** We seem to be missing chairs in the Helm house, there seems to be less now. We need chairs.
- Calendar} Scheduling} have all the clubs, groups been in touch and confirmed their activities for this year with Lee?
- Thank you, Letter Project Update, – for the volunteers, Food Trucks, Church organizations, Donations (Sue Cassidy and Donna Matteson) were going to establish this. Please see that Debbie gets a copy of the list and thank you, so she can keep it in the Activities Files.
- Library and Art Room – Helm House Update -Any word on which room, meeting with BOD? I have been receiving messages from Bunni who is stepping in for Marilyn M. for the Art Group. She is concerned that they still have their art room to store all their paints, projects etc. I told her to come to the meetings, when she gets into town; and upon the BOD decision, we can proceed forward. That there were numerous construction projects going on in the park. Etc.….
- Karaoke machine inquiry? Conversation with Darr yet? Insurance settlement yet
New Business
- I would like to add a Talent Show to the Bayfest, during the luncheon this year. We already have our Irish dancers; I would like to suggest a variety including Ukelele, Singers, Musicians, Comedians, Story tellers, Tap and Line dance and more? Maybe up to 10-15 minutes per group depending on how many signs up.
- To help with the issue with Helm house, the musty smell, etc. Could we get an air purifier or something?
- Paradise Bay Events in the future; A number of our Paradise Bay volunteers are use to making and preparing refreshments and treats for our Open House, Holiday gatherings, and social gatherings, in the past and I feel that we need to continue having them do what they enjoy doing. I have had members reach out to me on this topic too.
