Carl K. said the self igniters have been installed on the burners of the stove. He said he cleaned the burners and rubbed olive oil on them, as per the instructions. Susan M. requested a laminated set of instructions on how to light the burners be put up where everyone can see them. Carl K. said he would do that. The refrigerator stopped working. Jim G. thanked Carl K. for his help in obtaining a new refrigerator in time for the Luncheon on Saturday, February 5th.
Vice President’s report: none
Bayfest-We need to presell tickets for the lunch to have an idea of how much food and supplies to purchase. Carl K. estimated it would cost $1,280.00 for the lunch items and a total of approximately $1,500 including other items. Therefore, if we charged $7.00 for the lunch and sold 300 tickets, that would total $2,100 which should cover all the expenses. The lunch will be a choice of Pulled Pork Sandwich, Hamburger or Hot Dog with chips and a root beer float or other drink. There will be Gumbo sold separately. Everyone was in agreement for charging $7.00 for the lunch.
Marilyn M. will make signs to be posted around advertising all the events during the day of Bayfest.
Barbara G. and several others will be soliciting donations from local businesses for the prizes. She would like to know which businesses have been contacted so no one contacts them again. Carl said Costco has agreed to make some type of a donation but isn’t sure what that will be.
It was decided to charge $1.00 for 4 tickets for the games. Wendy purchased candy to be passed out during the Parade. Also, there are beads that will be tossed during the Parade. Wendy asked for volunteers to stay after the meeting to bag the candy and sort the beads. Several people agreed to do that.
Jim G. told us he has awards to give to the winners of the best decorated vehicles in the Parade and the winners of the Golf Cart Rodeo.
Deb R. told us that Randy D. approved having yard signs put up advertising Bayfest.
Memorial Service-will be on February 20th at 6 p.m. in the Paradise Bay Rec Hall. Shana is gathering names of deceased residents. She mentioned that people should be a dish to pass.
Craft Show-Jean Colson told us the Craft Show held on Saturday, February 5th was a success. The people from the Office were extremely helpful with set up, putting the sign up, regulating the temperature in the Hall, etc. Linda F. was very helpful in advertising the Craft Show. There were 17 vendors. Jean presented the Activities Committee with a check for $230.
Ladies Friendship Club-Susan Miller told us that there will be a Hot Dog Sale on Saturday, March 12th at Sally S.’s at 4 J St. during the Park Wide Sale. Also, in the kitchen there is a blue container with rags in the bottom corner cupboard. Please use them to clean up the floor, etc. instead of the towels or dish cloths. Carl K. mentioned that some people will be cleaning the hood to the stove on Thursday night.

Corn Hole-Chris M. told us that Dean Clark at CM 10 will be in charge of Corn Hole. Everything is set up by the Shuffleboard Courts to play, now.
Pickleball-Melissa Coleman-There will be no Dunk Tank at the Bayfest so we don’t need volunteers for that. Also, no grills are needed from them. Servers for the lunch are still needed starting at 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. and staying after to clean up. The Wind Guard has been installed that prevented the water from getting on the courts. We now have 110 members. They use the TeamReach app which is very helpful.
