There was an increase they weren’t anticipating. The amount they are requesting is approximately half of the total due. Sally S. made a motion to split the increased Entertainment fees with SaraBay up to $600.00. The motion was seconded by Glenda M. It passed with a unanimous voice vote.
Boating and Fishing Club-Carl Shaver-we had a very successful Frank & Bean dinner. We sold 608 tickets and served 556 dinners. There was a raffle with 3 winners, each winning $135.00. There were a lot of positive comments about good food and a friendly atmosphere. Carl was asked about possibly buying a second refrigerator for the Paradise Bay Rec Hall. When a lot of food needs to be stored in a refrigerator for any of the meals being served there, having only one refrigerator is not enough. Carl asked if possibly the Activities Committee would like to split the cost with the Boating and Fishing Club. He didn’t know the cost and hadn’t asked the Boating and Fishing Club yet, but was just wondering how the Activities Committee felt about splitting the cost. There was a lot of discussion concerning this issue. Several people felt a request should be made to the Park Manager/Board of Directors to purchase the refrigerator. Peggy N. said she would do that.
